First, brush at least twice a day. Ideally, you should brush after every meal, but that might not be possible for some people when they are at work. You should also floss at least once a day. A good time to do that is right before bed. It does not matter if you brush or floss first, as long as you do a thorough job of both. You want to make sure you use a toothbrush with soft bristles; and you should get a new toothbrush every three months.
Eating a healthy diet that is low on sugar and starch, high in calcium and protein and includes raw fruit and vegetables is an important part of a keeping your mouth healthy.
Drinking water helps to keep your teeth clean and your mouth hydrated. Many cities have fluoride in their water supply, which is an important mineral for promoting strong teeth.
